"Noble Talks" is a public lecture series at the Beutenberg Campus in Jena. Internationally renowned scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, present current topics from science and technology twice a year.

Goals

Since 2005, the Beutenberg-Campus Jena e. V. has presented renowned scientists twice a year in the public lecture series "Noble Talks". These include numerous Nobel Prize winners, who present their research to a broad audience in a generally understandable way. The aim is to give the public interested in science a comprehensive picture of modern research and development. The lectures cover current topics in science and technology, such as ageing research, astrophysics, genetic engineering, geoanthropology, infection biology, climate change, artificial intelligence, natural product research, medicine, ecology and optics.

The Beutenberg-Campus Jena e. V. awards the "Life Sciences and Physics" science prize as part of the spring event. Successful young scientists and excellent interdisciplinary cooperation projects will be honored in three categories.

The "Noble Talks" will take place in the lecture hall of the Abbe Center Beutenberg, Hans-Knöll-Str. 1, 07745 Jena. Participation in the event is free of charge.
