The Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (ZAKI) at Ernst Abbe University connects actors from science, business and society. The aim is to advance artificial intelligence in these areas and, above all, to put it into practice.
Goals
The Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (ZAKI) at Ernst Abbe University (EAH) is a platform that connects stakeholders from science, business and society on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). The goal of the project is to bring AI technologies into application. To this end, research is conducted on interdisciplinary AI projects, e.g. intraoperative perfusion imaging in medical technology, detection of musculoskeletal diseases and optimization of production processes in the optical and glass processing industry. In addition, so-called transfer doctorates offer young scientists the opportunity to conduct application-oriented research in cooperation with companies.
