At the IQST, physicists, engineers, life scientists, mathematicians and experts from other disciplines work together to use the laws of quantum mechanics for innovative biomedical applications.
Goals
The Carl Zeiss Foundation is funding various activities of an interdisciplinary group of researchers, which are already bundled in the cross-location Centre for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology IQST. The physicists, engineers, life scientists as well as mathematicians and experts from other disciplines want to use the laws of quantum mechanics for innovative biomedical applications. Specifically, they are working on optimising imaging procedures such as magnetic resonance imaging and developing high-performance sensors.
