Prof. Dr Stefan Götz was appointed as Professor of Mechatronics and Electric Drive Systems at the University of Kaiserslautern starting February 2019. He previously researched and taught at Duke University in the USA.

Goals

The professorship deals with electric drives, power electronics and analogue electronics for energy, vehicle and medical applications. Prominent examples are vehicle drives in hybrid or battery-powered vehicles. The aim is to contribute to the future of efficient energy use.
Professor Götz's appointment was supported by the funding of a research assistant position.
