Funding is being provided for the position of a coordinator who will network working groups for data-intensive radio astronomical research in the Jena region. The goal is to significantly improve participation in observations with large telescopes.

Goals

The aim of this project is to coordinate activities related to data-intensive radio astronomy in the science region of Jena and thus to significantly improve the opportunities for all participants to participate in observations with large radio astronomical telescopes and in data evaluation. The astroinformatics group at HITS is participating in this project. The focus is on a close exchange, e.g. through joint events on data science aspects.
