The Research and Transfer Center bundles competencies between the university, non-university research institutions and industry. Areas are learning systems such as Big Data, Data Science, Machine Learning/AI and Robotics.

Goals

The Thuringian Center for Learning Systems and Robotics (TZLR) is a joint institution of Thuringian universities and research institutions. It sees itself as a Thuringia-wide contact and interface between university, non-university research institutions and industry.

The center bundles Thuringian competencies in the field of learning systems such as Big Data and Data Science, Machine Learning/AI, robotics and their applications. In addition, it is a contact for companies and organizations and thus ensures the improvement of the national and international visibility of Thuringian research. The coordination and exchange of experience on research topics, on teaching as well as on further education in companies and public institutions will thus be promoted.

The Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung has been funding the center since 2020 and will extend the funding for another three years as of 01.03.2024.
