Prof. Dr. Rainer Gasper has been appointed as Endowed Professor of Mechatronic Systems Engineering at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences starting summer semester 2019.
Goals
The concept of the endowed professorship aims at closer networking of technical disciplines such as mechanical engineering, process engineering and electrical engineering with the subject areas of computer science. Through the mutual transfer of knowledge, new, innovative approaches are to be established in research and teaching. In particular, the areas of big data and data analytics are to be integrated into the classical engineering disciplines. Furthermore, the professorship addresses current issues in the modelling of distributed systems.
