Prof. Dr. Panagiotis Bouros was appointed as Junior Professor Big Data: In-Memory Databases and Data Analytics at the University of Mainz in January 2018.
Goals
Professor Bouros' research in data management is concerned with investigations into the introduction of new search techniques and analysis tasks. The explosion of big data volumes has made it necessary to research and develop systems that support extremely low latency and real-time data analytics. In addition, the ever-increasing complexity of data is playing a role in the research.
