CZS research boost: Call for application for newly appointed HAW professors

With this call for proposals, the Foundation enables newly appointed professors to carry out specific research projects during their first two years at a university of applied sciences. The funds do not have to be used exclusively for the research project.

Detailed information:

Topic: STEM impulses
Programme: CZS research boost
Target group: Professors
Funding budget: 150.000 €
Full proposal deadline: 08.05.2024

Goals

The application must describe a specific research project in the natural, life and/or engineering sciences (STEM fields) to be pursued during the period of funding. The funds must be used in such a way as to enable the initiation of research activities. In this context, the funds can be used beyond the actual project funding to allow additional freedom for research, for example to finance a teaching substitute.

What are the application requirement specifications?

  • The project applied for shows great potential for further development of research activities
  • The applicant professor has not previously worked at a state university of applied sciences

CZS research boost is aimed exclusively at newly appointed professors who have accepted a call to a professorship at a state university of applied sciences for the first time within the last twelve months.
