CZS Fund – Talents for Germany
Funding is provided for the appointment of top international researchers. Applications are accepted all year round and must be exclusively submitted via the German Scholars Organization. Universities from the three funding states are eligible to apply.

Goals
The programme supports German universities in their efforts to recruit top German and international scientists. The goal is to recruit top researchers for Germany as a centre of science and research (or inspire them to return to Germany). Funding is provided for acquiring scientists in the STEM subjects and business administration.
What are the application requirement specifications?
The appointed person must have been working abroad for two years when the application is submitted
- Call has been issued but not yet accepted
- Only permanent W3 professorships, or
- W1/W2 professorship with tenure track after W3
Who is eligible to apply?
Public universities in the following states are eligible to apply:
- in Baden-Württemberg
- in Rhineland-Palatinate
- in Thuringia
In case of shared appointments, non-university research institutions may be involved.
Duration
The funded measures may extend over several months, but not more than two years.
