Dr Simon Krause is a chemist and materials scientist working in the field of dynamic nanoporous framework materials. He studied chemistry at the University of Nottingham and TU Dresden. Since 2021 is a group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart.

Algebra STEM - Individual funding programmes – Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung Fund

Short description

Prof. Dr. Hendrik Süß has been appointed to the Department of Algebra at Friedrich Schiller University Jena starting winter semester 2021. He previously conducted research at the University of Manchester, UK.

Anniversary Initiative Stifterverband STEM - Small funding projects – CZS Impulse

Short description

As part of the anniversary initiative "Wirkung Hoch 100", the Carl Zeiss Foundation supports three projects at DHBW Heidenheim, the University of Mainz and TU Ilmenau.

Tobias Buck holds a doctorate in astrophysics. During his studies at the University of Heidelberg, he focused on robotics, machine learning and space exploration. Most recently, he worked as a postdoc at the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics in Potsdam.

The Prisma funding for Prof. Dr. Kleine-Vehn is intended to advance an innovative approach in auxin research. In order to track down the origin of auxin functions, the unicellular green alga Chlamydomonas is being analysed.
