As part of the "Werkstatt des Wandels" series, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is visiting companies, research institutions and projects that show how the future in Germany can be shaped with a wealth of ideas, initiative and commitment. The focus is on places of successful transformation that encourage people to seize the opportunities of change - for themselves and for society.
Each visit or workshop discussion brings together stakeholders from all over Germany working on a transformation topic in order to map out paths to change and discuss the next steps. In the "Workshop Talks" sponsored by the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung, experts from the fields of science, business, politics and civil society exchange ideas. In particular, transformations resulting from technological progress and STEM research are discussed.
