Prof. Dr. Christina Zielinski has been appointed Endowed Professor of Infection Immunology at the University of Jena with effect from the summer semester of 2021.
Goals
The endowed professorship is intended to strengthen microbiology in the dynamically developing field of T-cell immunology. It focuses on the areas of bacterial infections and fungal infections. The aim is to advance basic research into infection immunology and to establish the basis for applications such as T-cell-based diagnostics and T-cell therapy at the Jena site. This should provide new impetus in the field of adaptive immune response to infections.
