The Federal President's Prize for Technology and Innovation is one of the most important science awards in Germany. It honors outstanding technical, engineering and scientific achievements that lead to application-ready products.

Goals

The German Future Prize, the Federal President's Prize for Technology and Innovation, has been awarded annually since 1997 and is one of the most important science awards in Germany. It honors outstanding technical, engineering and scientific achievements that lead to application-ready products and is endowed with 250,000 euros. The link between science and industry is a conceptual component of the award, which is also reflected in the composition of the bodies and committees responsible for the award.

The Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung has been a sponsor of the Deutscher Zukunftspreis since 2018 and is represented on the Board of Trustees.
