The German President's Award for Technology and Innovation is one of Germany's most important scientific awards. It honors outstanding technical, engineering and scientific achievements that lead to products ready for application.

Goals

The German Future Award, the German President's Prize for Technology and Innovation, has been awarded annually since 1997 and is one of the most important scientific awards in Germany. It honors outstanding technical, engineering and scientific achievements that lead to products ready for application and is endowed with 250,000 euros. The linking of science and industry is a conceptual component of the award, which is also reflected in the composition of the bodies and committees responsible for the award.

Since 2018, the Carl Zeiss Foundation has been a benefactor of the Deutscher Zukunftspreis and is represented on the Board of Trustees.
