In the field of 3D metamaterials, the 3D Matter Made to Order cluster is developing customized artificial materials that exhibit a wide range of features not found in nature.
Goals
The 3D Matter Made to Order cluster, which brings together scientists from engineering, life and natural sciences, aims to realize and apply digital 3D additive manufacturing techniques at all size scales. It is organized into three interrelated research areas: Technologies, Molecular Materials, and Applications. In the field of 3D metamaterials, customized artificial materials are being developed that exhibit a wide range of features not found in nature. The aim is to further strengthen the "Exzellenz-Cluster", among other things through a fellowship programme.
