At the interface between physics, biotechnology and engineering, EndoPrint3D aims to surgically repair organ damage in the body in a minimally invasive manner. This is done by means of endoscopic micro-3D printing of biological tissue.
The endowed professorship applies AI methods in humanoid robot systems. Reinforcement learning (AI learns by trial and error with feedback) and sim-to-real methods (AI first works in simulation, then in real situations) are used to adapt the robots to specific tasks and enable them to interact naturally with humans using language models
