06.09.2024 MINT Impulses Seven new approvals for CZS research boost

The Carl Zeiss Foundation is funding seven more new professorships at universities of applied sciences. Funding is provided for research projects on biodiversity, climate-neutral energy supply, plant proteins, in-vitro models of the human blood-brain barrier, the control of plant technology and mixed reality in construction practice as well as dialog-oriented multi-agent systems in project management.

With the CZS Research Start program, newly appointed professors at universities of applied sciences can start their research activities right at the beginning of their appointment. The Carl Zeiss Foundation supports the entry into application-oriented research with 150,000 euros each for two years.

The following have received funding: Prof. Dr. Yannick Broschart at Trier University of Applied Sciences for his "MiReB" project, Prof. Dr. Barbara Stammel at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences for her "Yes!IndSeed" project, Prof. Dr. Ebru Ercan Herbst from Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences for the "3D-hiPSC-BBB" project, Prof. Dr. Pascal Laube at Furtwangen University for the "INAD" project, Prof. Dr. Sandra Hartl at Esslingen University for the "Skare-Me" project, Prof. Dr. Dr. Michael Féchir at Trier University for "ProteinLab" and Prof. Dr. Jasmin Dell'Anna at Bingen University of Applied Sciences for "netGQ".
