What responsibility does science have towards society?

This was the motto of this year's network meeting of CZS endowed professors. During a visit to the office, the grantees were able to take a look behind the scenes at the CZS. A lecture on provenance research at the Lindenmuseum got those present in the mood for the topic.

The next day, the topic was explored in greater depth during a mutual research presentation and in small groups. 25 foundation professors accepted the invitation to the event on November 28 and 29.

The Managing Director of the Carl Zeiss Foundation, Dr. Felix Streiter, gave an impulse on the responsibility of the CZS as a research sponsor. He used the quote from the French author Voltaire "With great power comes great responsibility".
