21.01.2026 CZS Network CZSvorOrt / Stuttgart

With more than 120 guests from universities, foundations and the city and state, CZSvorOrt / Stuttgart was the Carl Zeiss Foundation's largest networking event to date. The focus was on the scientists from seven universities of applied sciences and universities currently receiving funding from the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

The event in Stuttgart also marked the end of an intensive week of events: the Foundation was a guest at seven universities in the region, including the University of Stuttgart, the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences and the University of Tübingen.

The proven concept of CZS on site - one third program, two thirds networking - offered the participants plenty of space for exchange and networking. The aim of the series of events is to bring together researchers from the STEM disciplines at the funding locations, to present the work of the foundation and at the same time to gain insights into current developments at the colleges and universities. The program in Stuttgart was supplemented by an interactive CZS Challenge, in which the guests were able to talk to each other, make contacts and give feedback in a fun way. A surprise prize will soon be raffled off among all participants who have handed in their challenge pass.

For the Carl Zeiss Foundation, the Stuttgart location was a home game: it is only a few minutes' walk from the head office on Berliner Platz to the event venue in Dürnitz in the Old Palace. This meant that the entire Foundation team was able to attend the event and make the most of the opportunity for personal exchange.

The Carl Zeiss Foundation would like to thank the organizing team and everyone involved for the many inspiring and enriching discussions. The next stop in the event series is CZSvorOrt / Weimar in July.
