06.07.2026 Talents CZS scholarship recipients at the lindau nobel laureate meeting

More than 600 outstanding young scientists from around the world gathered in Lindau on Lake Constance with some 70 Nobel laureates. To mark its 75th anniversary, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting was not dedicated to a single field of study, as is usually the case, but took an interdisciplinary approach with the goal of bringing together the Nobel disciplines.

As in previous years, the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung made it possible for 20 early-career researchers from Baden-Württemberg, Thuringia, and Rhineland-Palatinate to attend. Through this funding, the foundation supports scientific exchange across generations, cultures, and disciplines.

During a group dinner, the CZS scholarship recipients had the opportunity to engage in personal conversations with biophysicist Prof. Dr. Johann Deisenhofer and chemist Prof. Dr. Kurt Wüthrich. Deisenhofer received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1988, and Wüthrich in 2002.
