The Federal Artificial Intelligence Competition encourages students with strengths in mathematics, computer science or physics to develop creative solutions for the challenges of the future. The foundation supports this project as the main sponsor.
An interdisciplinary team at the University of Tübingen is exploring principles for the safe use of AI systems in healthcare and developing guidelines for their certification.

Immunotherapies are promising approaches to fighting cancer. The project aims to develop human models of the immune system in order to research personalized cancer therapies and vaccines. Organoids and organ-on-chip technologies are used for this purpose.
An interdisciplinary team is researching a solution for the treatment of presbyopia. By use of newly developed intraocular and contact lenses, the lost adaptation of the lens for distance and near is to be restored.
