Various outreach measures will be used to raise awareness of key energy issues among the general public. The focus here is primarily on the integration of renewable energies in buildings.

Goals

The "Next Generation Energy Experience" campaign format consists of several components and is to be held annually in future. An energy hackathon serves as a creative competition for pupils. Everyday technical issues will be tackled under the guidance of scientists. At the Audimax Science Day, the lecture hall is available as an interactive forum for energy topics for up to 30 school classes. The Next Generation Energy Day will feature short presentations on current research and teaching as well as exciting interactive live experiments.

The aim is to sensitize pupils to future-oriented energy technologies and make them aware of their importance for climate protection. The focus is particularly on the integration of renewable energies in buildings and the role of heat pumps, refrigeration technology and energy networks.
