Goals

This project aims to raise public awareness of the importance of physics research and innovation for the economy and society.

The "Highlights of Physics" event is a science festival for anyone who is curious. The heart of the event is the interactive exhibition with physics "to touch and try out" and an exciting lecture program. The aim is to promote direct dialog between dedicated scientists and interested children, teenagers and adults.

The hands-on exhibition with around 30 exhibition stands will take place in the Goethe Gallery in Jena and will provide insights into pioneering research. The lecture and presentation program also offers selected topics for schoolchildren and top-class lectures. The event is organized by Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the German Physical Society. Admission to all events is free of charge.
