Dr. Corinna L. Kufner investigates the influence of ultraviolet radiation on the formation of the molecular building blocks of life. She studied physics at LMU Munich and was a postdoctoral researcher and laboratory director at Harvard University after completing her doctorate.
Prof. Dr. Daniel Möller, Professor of Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics at the EAH Jena, wants to optimize ventilation systems in terms of aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and thermodynamics. This will improve energy efficiency and increase acoustic comfort.

The team from Kaiserslautern and Trier universities is developing a user-friendly, intelligent leg prosthesis that uses artificial intelligence to provide the user with precise feedback on movements and ground contact.
The endowed professorship applies AI methods in humanoid robot systems. Reinforcement learning (AI learns by trial and error with feedback) and sim-to-real methods (AI first works in simulation, then in real situations) are used to adapt the robots to specific tasks and enable them to interact naturally with humans using language models
