CZS Plus: Call for application for CZS Alumni

Objectives

Outreach activities that serve to communicate science and research to an interested public and new target groups are funded through the permanent ongoing call for proposals in the CZS Plus programme. This includes, for example, the organisation and implementation of exhibitions, competitions and action days, the production of podcasts, videos and animations or the design of newsletters and websites.  
Exchange funds can also be applied for via the CZS Plus programme to promote scientific exchange and networking as well as interdisciplinary and/or international cooperations. Concrete measures can be, for example, the implementation of a summer school or a (student) excursion or the organisation of a guest researcher visit.

What are the application requirements?

•  The requested funds must be used for the implementation of a specific outreach or communication measure or the realisation of an exchange measure.
• -The applications must relate to a specific teaching or research topic in the field of natural sciences, life sciences or engineering (STEM area). 
• Ideally, the proposed project can be assigned to one of the CZS thematic priorities Artificial Intelligence, Resource Efficiency or Life Science Technologies.
• The added value for the applicant's research or teaching activities must be clearly stated in the application. 

Who is eligible to apply?

Former Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung grantees are eligible to apply for this programme. Prerequisites are a completed doctorate, registration in the alumni portal and employment at a university in the funding states of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate or Thuringia.
