CZS Plus

CZS Plus is an exclusive funding programme for scientists formerly funded by the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung. Outreach and exchange projects can be funded.

Goals

The Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung (CZS) feels connected to its former grantees and would like to stay in touch with them. In addition to networking events and further education programmes, the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung also offers exclusive application opportunities. In the CZS Plus programme, the Foundation provides its alumni with additional funding for science communication, outreach activities and network development and maintenance.

The funding amount is up to 40,000 Euros per project. One application can be submitted per calendar year.

Eligible for funding are

Outreach activities that serve to communicate science and research to the general public as well as exchange activities that promote scientific exchange and networking, interdisciplinary cooperation and internationalisation.

  • Event costs (room hire, catering, event materials) 
  • Fees as well as travel and accommodation costs for speakers, key note speakers and moderators (personnel and living expenses cannot be applied for)
  • Additional staff costs for employees and student assistants
  • Funds for agencies and service providers to support the programme
  • Costs incurred for the creation of content (video and photo productions, audio recordings) as well as printed matter and advertising materials
  • Investment funds, provided they are directly related to the measure applied for.

 

Selection procedure

The Foundation will select the projects applied for. Applicants will be notified of a funding decision within six weeks of receipt of their application.
