CZS German scholarships

Germany needs highly motivated and well-trained young researchers to shape the scientific breakthroughs of tomorrow. That is why we support more than 150 scholarship holders at a total of 20 universities.

Goals

We want to create the freedom for young people to concentrate on their studies. That is why we have been supporting promising students with a German Scholarship in collaboration with the Federal Government since the introduction of the ‘Deutschlandstipendium’ (German scholarship) in 2011.

For each scholarship (for one year), 1,800 euros are available, which are supplemented by another 1,800 euros from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

We currently award ‘Deutschlandstipendium’ scholarships to eight universities in Baden-Württemberg, five universities in Thuringia and seven universities in Rhineland-Palatinate. In total, more than 150 scholarships can be awarded in this way.

Eligible are:

  • Students in the STEM subjects who are enrolled at one of the funded state universities in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia

Selection procedure

The scholarship recipients are selected by the respective university.
