CZS endowed professorships at universities of applied sciences

The Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung is providing funding for professorships at universities of applied sciences as part of the “CZS Professorships at Universities of Applied Sciences” programme.

Goals

We are supporting the strategic development of universities of applied sciences. We are financing the establishment of research professorships to enhance their research performance. 
The funding amounts to 1.5 million euros over a period of five years. In each case, this will fund the position of the prospective professor as well as a PhD position.
 

We are funding:

  • W2 or W3 professorships
  • PhD positions
  • Additional funds for scientific and technical personnel, material and investment funds scientific communication and outreach

Selection procedure

The foundation endowed fellowships shall be selected through competition with support from external experts.
