In addition to financial support, the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung offers its grantees and alumni numerous opportunities to expand their academic networks, participate in professional development programs, and gain insights into interdisciplinary research.

The CZS network offers open spaces for exchange and networking between grantees, alumni and scientific communities.

CZSonSite

Through its “CZSonSite” network initiative, the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung visits various university campuses in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Thuringia. Once a semester, grant recipients, alumni, and friends and partners of the Foundation from the respective campus and region come together. CZSonSite provides an opportunity for personal exchange, insights into current projects, and networking within the CZSCommunity.

CZSconnect

Making new contacts, talking to each other and learning from each other - that is the aim of CZSconnect. With this series of events, we want to strengthen the interdisciplinary exchange between current and former grantees and offer cross-program networking opportunities for early career researchers.

In cooperation with external partners, the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung offers continuing education programs with different focal points for grantees and alumni.

Our network and event formats promote professional exchange between researchers from different disciplines and locations, strengthen dialog in the thematic focus areas and provide long-term support for grantees and alumni in their academic work.
